🍞 About Our Bread

How fresh is the bread?

Everything is baked to order and made fresh on the day of collection or delivery. We don’t bake in advance and freeze — what you get is as fresh as it gets.

How long does the bread last?

Our sourdough loaves typically stay fresh for 3–4 days when stored correctly. Keep them in a paper bag or wrapped in a clean cloth at room temperature — avoid plastic bags as they soften the crust.

Can I freeze the bread?

Yes! Our bread freezes beautifully. Slice it before freezing and you can toast straight from frozen. Most loaves will keep well in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Do you use any additives or preservatives?

Never. Our bread is made with just flour, water, salt, and our live sourdough starter. That’s it.

Is your sourdough suitable for people with gluten sensitivity?

Our sourdough is long-fermented which many people find easier to digest than commercial bread. However, our products are not gluten-free and are made in a kitchen that handles wheat flour. If you have coeliac disease or a serious gluten allergy, please contact us before ordering.

When do you bake?

We bake on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to align with our collection and delivery schedule. Orders placed after the cut-off time will be moved to the next available slot.

What are the order cut-off times?

  • Friday delivery: order by Wednesday 8pm
  • Saturday delivery or collection: order by Thursday 8pm
  • Sunday collection: order by Friday 8pm

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, as long as you let us know before the cut-off time for your slot. After that, we’ll have already started preparing your bake. Please get in touch as soon as possible.

Do you do custom or large orders?

Absolutely — we love a special request. Please give us at least 5 days’ notice and contact us to discuss.

Where can I collect from?

Collection is from our bakery — the exact address will be confirmed in your order confirmation. We’re based locally and easy to find.

Do you deliver every day?

We deliver on Fridays and Saturdays only. This keeps our baking schedule manageable and ensures everything arrives at peak freshness.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges depend on your location. You’ll see the delivery cost at checkout. We offer free delivery for orders over a certain amount — check the checkout for current thresholds.

🔄 Subscriptions

How does the bread subscription work?

You choose a weekly bread box (Small, Family, or Mixed), select collection or delivery, and we’ll sort the rest. Your bread arrives or is ready to collect every week without you needing to reorder. See our Subscription page for full details.

Can I skip a week or pause my subscription?

Yes — just let us know by Thursday of the week you want to skip. You can also pause for holidays or cancel anytime with no fees.
